All theatres across Lahore and the rest of Punjab will remain closed on the occasion of Shab-e-Meraj, in observance of the sanctity and religious significance of the holy night.

The Punjab Council of the Arts has formally issued directives to all concerned theatre administrations, instructing them to keep their venues completely closed during Shab-e-Meraj.
The notification clearly states that theatre owners and managements must ensure strict compliance with the orders.

Shab-e-Meraj holds immense religious importance in Islam, commemorating the miraculous night journey of Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ. Authorities emphasized that the decision was taken out of respect for the sanctity of the night.
