Babar Azam and Pakistani Batters Move Up in Latest ICC Test Rankings

Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam has made a positive move in the latest ICC Test Rankings, climbing one position to 22nd with 656 rating points, according to the International Cricket Council’s latest update.

Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood also showed improvement, moving up two places to 42nd with 576 points, reflecting his recent consistency at the top of the order.

Saud Shakeel Remains Pakistan’s Top Test Batter

Middle-order batter Saud Shakeel retained his ninth position with 734 points, continuing to be Pakistan’s highest-ranked Test batter.

  • Mohammad Rizwan stayed unchanged at 21st

  • Salman Ali Agha slipped one place to 28th

  • Imam-ul-Haq held his 51st position

  • Abdullah Shafique dropped one place to 57th

  • Kamran Ghulam remained 85th

Further down the list, Aamer Jamal and Saim Ayub each climbed one spot to jointly sit at 94th with 345 points.

At the top of the ICC Test batting rankings:

  1. Joe Root – 1st

  2. Harry Brook – 2nd

  3. Travis Head – 3rd

Pakistan Bowlers in ICC Test Rankings

In the bowling charts, Pakistan bowlers saw mixed movement:

  • Shaheen Afridi retained 24th position

  • Mohammad Abbas slipped to 29th

  • Sajid Khan dropped to 30th

  • Naseem Shah stayed 38th

  • Hasan Ali climbed to 43rd with 480 points

Spinner Abrar Ahmed slipped to 51st, while Khurram Shahzad (70th) and Aamer Jamal (78th) remained unchanged. Asif Afridi dropped one place to 96th.

At the top of the bowling rankings, Jasprit Bumrah continues to lead, followed by Pakistan’s Noman Ali in second place, with Mitchell Starc dropping to third.
