If the disruption occurs, it will mark the second major internet slowdown in Pakistan within two weeks.
On January 1, 2026, users across the country reported widespread internet outages due to an issue with one of Pakistan’s upstream connectivity providers. The disruption at that time lasted more than 48 hours, severely affecting businesses, online services, and daily digital activities.
