Cricket Ireland has officially announced its 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, with experienced batter Paul Stirling set to lead the side for the second consecutive tournament.
Ireland have shown strong continuity, retaining 12 players from their 2024 T20 World Cup squad that competed in the USA and West Indies. The selectors believe the blend of experience and youth will help the team perform better in the upcoming mega event.

Ireland men’s selector Andrew White said the team has learned valuable lessons over the past 18 months. He stated that multiple combinations and strategies were tested during this period, and the selectors are confident they have finalized a well-balanced squad.
Group & Fixtures
Ireland have been placed in Group B alongside Sri Lanka, Australia, Oman, and Zimbabwe.
Their T20 World Cup campaign will begin on February 8 in Colombo, with all group-stage matches scheduled to be played in Sri Lanka.
