The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has announced changes to school timings due to a severe cold wave affecting the province’s plains areas.
According to an official notification from the KP Education Department, school hours will be adjusted starting January 16, following the winter holidays.

Primary schools in plains areas will now operate from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM

Middle, high, and higher secondary schools will have timings from 9:00 AM to 2:20 PM
The decision aims to protect students from extreme winter conditions while ensuring minimal disruption to academic schedules.
