Lahore Ready for the Festival of Colors and Culture: Basant 2026

Lahore is once again gearing up for the vibrant festival of Basant, a celebration of colors, lights, and culture. Preparations for the Basant Festival 2026 are in full swing, with the city administration finalizing a detailed plan for decorations and events to make the festival truly memorable.

According to officials, 23 major roads and locations in the city will be beautifully decorated with special themes designed for the festival. Key areas include Main Boulevard Gulberg, Noor Jahan Road, MM Alam Road, Jail Road, Canal Road, Mahmood Kasuri Road, Main Market, and Khayaban-e-Firdousi.

Other streets and locations like Khayaban-e-Jinnah, Avenue-e-Tijarat, Shadman Market Road, Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam, Northern Lahore, Circular Garden, Azadi Chowk, and Niazi Interchange will also be adorned with colorful decorations. Additionally, Pine Avenue, Ravi Toll Plaza (GT Road & M-2), Shahdara Flyover, and Ferozepur Road will reflect the spirit of Basant. Railway Station, Airport Road, Hali Road, and Qaddafi Roundabout have also been included in the festival planning.

The festival will feature music and cultural performances, with renowned artists such as Fariha Pervez, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Arif Lohar, Hadiqa Kiani, and Asim Raza scheduled to perform. A special event will also be held at Diwan-e-Aam.

Officials emphasized that the Basant Festival will be celebrated as a safe, organized, and family-friendly event, allowing citizens to enjoy the cultural extravaganza to the fullest.
