PSL 11: First Season With Eight Teams
PSL 11 will be a historic edition, as it will be the first season featuring eight franchises following the league’s expansion.
Two new teams — Hyderabad and Sialkot — will officially join the tournament from 2026. The Hyderabad franchise was secured for Rs. 1.75 billion, while the Sialkot team was acquired for Rs. 1.85 billion, highlighting strong investor confidence in the league.
Cricket analysts see the expansion as a major step toward strengthening the PSL’s domestic footprint and enhancing its commercial value.
PSL’s Growing Digital Impact
The league has also experienced a notable surge in digital engagement. PSL 10 reportedly recorded massive growth in online viewership, particularly during the early stages of the tournament.
With streaming numbers climbing and fan engagement rising across platforms, the PSL continues to establish itself as a rapidly growing T20 brand globally, even as it works to bridge the financial gap with larger leagues such as the IPL.
An official confirmation regarding the PSL 11 draft date and venue is expected soon.
