The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced a major relief for overseas Pakistanis, allowing them to keep their Pakistani mobile SIM cards active while living abroad.
According to the PTA, Pakistani citizens residing overseas will no longer face automatic SIM blocking during their stay outside the country. The decision aims to ensure uninterrupted access to essential communication services for expatriates.

A PTA spokesperson stated that the initiative reflects the regulator’s commitment to empowering overseas Pakistanis and strengthening Pakistan’s global digital connectivity.
