The owners of Sialkot’s newly awarded Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) franchise have confirmed that the official team name and logo will be unveiled within the next few days, marking a major step toward the league’s historic expansion.
The update was shared by Kamil Khan, co-owner of the Sialkot franchise, who said the ownership group entered the PSL auction with a clear long-term vision and structured roadmap for building a competitive team.

PSL Expansion: Eight Teams From 2026
With the inclusion of Sialkot and Hyderabad, the PSL will expand from six to eight teams starting in 2026. The upcoming season is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3, making it the biggest edition in the league’s history.
Speaking in Lahore, Kamil Khan said the franchise is focused on assembling a strong and competitive squad, combining top overseas players with a solid domestic support system.
“Our aim is to bring quality international talent to Sialkot while also developing local players through a strong coaching setup,” he said.
Confidence in PSL’s Popularity
Khan also expressed confidence in the league’s fan appeal, stating that PSL continues to attract crowds regardless of venue.
“Wherever the PSL is played, the fans turn up. That’s the strength of this league,” he said, calling PSL one of Pakistan’s biggest sporting attractions.
Looking ahead, he highlighted potential clashes with Lahore Qalandars as one of the most exciting future rivalries, describing it as intense on the field but respectful off it.
He further praised the PSL’s contribution to Pakistan cricket, saying the league has played a vital role in strengthening the country’s cricketing structure. All major franchise decisions, he added, will be finalized in close coordination with the PCB.
An official announcement regarding the team name, logo, and branding is expected shortly.
