Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli has added another landmark to his illustrious career by breaking a record held by Sachin Tendulkar.

Kohli became the fastest batter in international cricket history to score 28,000 runs, achieving the milestone in 624 international innings. The previous record, held by Tendulkar, was 644 innings.

• The milestone came during the first ODI against New Zealand on Sunday.
