The CM Punjab Ration Card, part of the Nigehban and Punjab Ration Riayat initiatives, has officially started its 2026 registration phase under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

The program provides financial relief to low-income households through a monthly subsidy of Rs. 3,000, specifically for purchasing essential food items such as flour, ghee, sugar, and pulses.

All registrations are now handled through a single digital desk to ensure verified and deserving families receive the benefit.

Features of the 2026 Registration

  • Monthly Benefit: Rs. 3,000 credited to the Ration Card.

  • Target Audience: Over 1 million families across Punjab, including laborers, widows, and low-income earners.

  • Integration: Linked with Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) and 8070 SMS service.

  • Merchant Network: Usable at all Utility Stores and thousands of registered retail shops across Punjab.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Residency: Permanent resident of Punjab (verified via CNIC).

  • Income Threshold: Total household income ≤ Rs. 50,000 per month.

  • Poverty Score: PMT score of 60 or below (verified via PSER/BISP).

  • Non-Eligibility: Government employees, registered four-wheel vehicle owners, and those who have traveled abroad for non-religious purposes are excluded.

How to Register for CM Punjab Ration Card 2026

Method 1: Online Registration via PSER Portal

  1. Visit pser.punjab.gov.pk.

  2. Click on “New Registration”.

  3. Enter CNIC and mobile number.

  4. Complete the digital survey with family, income, and asset details.

  5. Submit the form and save your Tracking ID.

Method 2: SMS Registration (8070)

  1. Open your messaging app.

  2. Send your CNIC number (without dashes) to 8070.

  3. Receive a message confirming your eligibility or instructions to visit a registration desk.

Method 3: Registration at Tehsil Centers

  • Visit your local Assistant Commissioner’s office.

  • Bring your original CNIC, children’s B-Forms, and a copy of your electricity/gas bill for address verification.

How to Receive the Ration Card

  • SMS Notification: You will receive an SMS from 8070 or Bank of Punjab (BOP) once verified.

  • Card Collection: Collect the physical card from your Union Council office or a designated distribution center.

  • Digital Activation: Some cards are activated biometrically during the first purchase at a registered merchant.

Important Dates & Deadlines

  • Phase 1 Registration: Ongoing (Started January 1, 2026).

  • Verification Deadline: Families must update PSER data by February 15, 2026 to ensure uninterrupted monthly subsidies.
