Punjab to Observe Four Consecutive Holidays

Residents across Punjab are set to enjoy a long weekend as four consecutive holidays begin from tomorrow, bringing a festive atmosphere to the province.

The provincial government has already issued notifications for the holidays, combining Kashmir Solidarity Day, Basant celebrations, and the weekly Sunday break.

Holiday Schedule

  • February 5 – Kashmir Solidarity Day (public holiday)

  • February 6 – Basant holiday

  • February 7 – Basant holiday

  • Sunday – Weekly off

All government offices, institutions, and departments will remain closed during this period.

Festive Excitement Across Lahore

With Basant returning after many years, excitement levels are high. People from different cities are heading to Lahore to take part in the celebrations. Hotels and rooftops in the city have reportedly been booked in advance.

Government’s Announcement

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had earlier announced the extended weekend, highlighting the opportunity for families to relax and celebrate.

Travel Rush Observed

A noticeable increase in travel has also been reported, with many people heading to their hometowns or planning short trips during the long break.

The extended holiday period offers both a cultural celebration and a chance for rest before the regular work schedule resumes.
