Meta to Shut Down Messenger App Completely – Deadline AnnouncedAccording to sources, the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has filed a request for December 2025’s monthly adjustment, seeking approval for the increase. NEPRA is scheduled to conduct a public hearing on January 29 to review the request.
If approved, the adjustment will apply nationwide, including K-Electric consumers in Karachi.
At present, electricity consumers are benefiting from the November 2025 monthly adjustment, under which power tariffs were reduced by 93 paisa per unit. However, the new proposal may reverse that relief and add pressure to household budgets.
Final approval and implementation will depend on NEPRA’s decision after the hearing, following which the government will issue an official notification.
