Fine Flour Prices See Sharp Jump

In another blow to consumers, the price of 20-kilogram fine flour has climbed from Rs 3,000 to as high as Rs 3,300. Shopkeepers say customers are increasingly complaining, while many are being forced to cut back on household expenses to manage food costs.

Supply Shortage Blamed for Price Hike

Flour dealers attribute the rising prices to a shortage of supply in the market. According to them, irregular deliveries and reduced availability of wheat flour have created artificial scarcity, pushing rates upward.

Market sources warn that if supply issues persist, prices could rise further in the coming days, increasing hardship for ordinary citizens.

Public Concerns Grow Amid Inflation

The latest hike has intensified public concern, as food inflation continues to strain household budgets. Citizens are urging authorities to take immediate steps to stabilize prices and ensure adequate supply in the local market.
