Extended Holidays? Public Opinion Sends Clear Message

Majority Vote for January 19 Reopening

The poll results show that over 86 percent of respondents voted in favor of reopening schools and colleges on January 19, instead of January 12.

  • 108,894 people supported reopening on January 19

  • 16,349 people voted for reopening on January 12

Only 14 percent of participants favored resuming classes earlier, indicating strong public support for extended winter holidays.

Parents and Teachers Express Concerns

Many parents and teachers cited cold weather conditions, health concerns, and children’s safety as key reasons for preferring a later reopening date.

While the poll reflects public sentiment, education-related decisions remain subject to official notifications from the government, and authorities have urged citizens to rely only on confirmed announcements.
