Ramadan 2026 Official Fitrana and Fidya Amounts Announced

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have officially announced the charity-related amounts for Ramadan 2026. The decision was issued by the UAE Fatwa Council after reviewing market prices in coordination with relevant departments.

These updated amounts guide Muslims on how much to give for Fitrana, Fidya, and other related religious compensations during the holy month.

Fitrana (Zakat al-Fitr) Amount

The council has set:

  • 2.5 kg of rice per person
    OR
  • 25 AED in cash per person

This charity is obligatory for every financially able Muslim man and woman and should be paid before Eid prayer.

Fidya for Missing Fasts

For individuals unable to fast:

  • Feeding one needy person 3.25 kg of wheat
    OR
  • 20 AED per day

The same cash amount applies when food is provided instead of raw items.

Fidya for Breaking a Fast Intentionally

For those who invalidate a fast:

  • 1,200 AED, to be distributed among 60 needy individuals

Fidya Related to Hajj or Umrah Violations

  • 120 AED, distributed among six deserving persons

Minimum Iftar Meal Cost

  • The minimum estimated cost of one Iftar meal has been set at 20 AED.

When Should These Payments Be Made?

Fitrana can be paid during Ramadan and must be given before Eid prayer. Authorities encourage donations through recognized charity organizations and official channels to ensure funds reach deserving recipients.
